The present Bhagat Phool Singh Mahila Vishwavidyalaya is the 'blessing from heaven' of Bhagat Phool Singh Ji, who built up a Gurukul for young ladies at Khanpur Kalan in 1936. Indeed, even after the end of Bhagat Phool Singh, his similarly unique little girl Subhashini Ji assumed responsibility for Gurukul as well as worked enthusiastically in extending the Gurukul as far as its different constituent organizations like BPS Memorial Girls' College (1967), BPS College of Education (1968), MSM Ayurvedic College (1973), BPS Mahila Polytechnic (1984), TIG Bhainswal Kalan(1999) and PSD Girls' Law College (2003).  The State Government under the authority of Shri Bhupinder Singh Hooda, the Honorable Chief Minister of Haryana took discernment and redesigned the recent Gurukul to the status of a University solely for ladies in August 2006 and initiated it as Bhagat Phool Singh Mahila Vishwavidyalaya, which happens to be the principal State Women University of North India. From that point forward BPSMV has experienced a total change; a 75 years of age Gurukul began with just three young ladies has transformed into a cutting edge college with around 7000 young ladies on its moves concentrating in different projects.
