Delhi Technological University is a public engineering university located in New Delhi, India formerly known as the Delhi College of Engineering (DCE). It is Delhi's first engineering college and one of the oldest Engineering Institutions of India. It was under the control of the Government of India and established in 1941 as Delhi Polytechnic. From 1952 to 2009 the college was affiliated with the University of Delhi and has been under the government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi since 1963. Thus changing its name to Delhi Technological University in 2009, the college was given state university status. With their other branch known as Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology DCE shared its admission procedure and syllabus for various B.E courses.
