Atal Bihari Vajpayee Vishwavidyalaya was established by the Gazette notification on 03.02.2012 of Chhattisgarh Act No 07, 2012 is State University. Atal Bihari Vajpayee Vishwavidyalaya jurisdiction is extended to 05 districts namely Korba, Bilaspur, Mungeli, Janjgir Champa and Raigarh. Near Gandhi Chowk Bilaspur city University is situated on Old High Court Building. In the 05 districts of Chhattisgarh State there are nearly 173 Govt. and private colleges affiliated. In June, 2012 Chhattisgarh Viswavidyalaya ( Amendament) Act, 2011 came in to its existance. In different streams of Law, Science, Education, Arts and Commerce and Centres of research.
