Education is the manifestation of perfection already in man.†In order to establish a model centre for man-making education with training some educationally interested persons wanted to start a Pre-Primary and Primary Teachers’ Training Institute abiding by the rules and regulations of N.C.T.E.(National Council For Teacher Education) at the site Barabazar, Chinsurah, Hooghly. Teacher-Training (Pre-Primary and Primary) is essential in all countries as it is the base of life. According to Mahatma Gandhi – “By education I mean an all – round development of the child body, mind and spirit.†For this purpose also teacher-training is essential at the Pre-Primary and Primary level. Rabindra Nath Tagore said, “if you make a child to man then you are to teach him/her from the early stage of his/her life. Trained Teachers will do this jobâ€. That is why this Institute is named in the name of Dr. B.C. Roy who was the maker of Modern Bengal. Praying for the blessing of above persons we want to start this Institute. The modern teaching methodology assists the students in getting an all around view of engineering, technology and the entrepreneur world. The diligent faculty team of the college possesses hands-on experience and up to date knowledge of their subject and area of expertise. The infrastructure and facilities of Hooghly B.C.Roy Institute D.L.Ed. College consists of spread-out campus alongside various amenities in the form of library, computer center, classrooms with proper teaching and learning aids, medical facilities etc.
