The Damodar valley teachers training college is sponsored by the “ANTAYODAYA EDUCATIONAL TRUST” The aims and objectives of this trust is to promote humanism, morality, relief to the poor, medical relief, education and advancements of any other object of general public utility, not involving in carrying out any activity for profit within the territories of the Indian Union.
It also wants to open and run centers for professional, Technical and vocational courses such as M.Ed., PTT, B.Tech., Journalism, Advertising, Public relations, Nursing and Hospital managing, electronic computer, Industrial training etc. It shall also undertake non-formal and formal literacy activities as to strengthen and expand the existing literacy base, employment, opportunities and awareness.
It also creates awareness on environmental issues, takes up social forestry as well as works based on human values of liberty, qualities and fraternity and to do all such things as the board of Trustee may consider necessary incidental or conclusive to the achievements of the aims and objects of the trust.
