The institute of nursing was started in the year 1994 and recognized by the Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi, vide No. 20-4/1996-INC Dated 7-8-1996 and Karnataka State Nursing Council, Bangalore, vide No. KNC/410/98 Dated 17-4-1998. The Institute is approved by Government of Karnataka.

This institute is located in the North wing of the B.M.Hospital, Mysore. The Government of Karnataka has accorded sanction of annual intake of 40 students. Since 1994, students have successfully completed the course with highest merit and many of them are appointed in government and private high-tech/ multispecialty hospitals in India and abroad.
