Manohar Bhai Patel College of Arts, Commerce & Science, Sakoli was established in 1968 which has been imparting higher education for the last forty two years to the students in and around Sakoli, a rural and naxalite part of Maharashtra State. The aim of the college is to achieve academic excellence in Arts, Commerce & Science by offering the different academic programmes.

There is a wide range of programme optionals available to learners. In Arts, there are nine optional subjects and seven groups in Science, five PG courses in Arts, one in Commerce and one in Science. There are three add on courses and it is the largest study centre of YCMOU in Vidarbha. The college runs three UG and eight PG self financed courses. The college receives feedback from students, parents and alumni which in turn is utilized for improvement of syllabus and quality of teachers.

The college publishes prospectus, has developed its website and has transparency in admission process. Teachers use different teaching methods and modern audio-vedio aids. Teaching learning process involves monthly planning,   lesson plan, unit tests, Test exam and active participation of students in co-curriculum and extra-curricular activities.
College has organized four National Seminars, has five minor Research Projects and new proposals for it have been sent to UGC. Six teachers have Ph.D., two have submitted thesis and five are engaged in research leading to Ph.D. Five teachers are Ph.D. supervisors. Every department is engaged in research.

The growth of infrastructure keeps pace with the academic growth of the college. College has increased network facilities in Library, Office and Computer Lab. Library automation is on the verge of completion. The library has supporting facilities like computers, printers, photocopier, circulation etc. The college management has regularly contributed for construction of classrooms, development of laboratories for improving infrastructural facilities.
