The foundation stone was laid by Hon'ble Jagjivan Ram Ji, former Food Minister, Govt. of India & Hon'bleMohan Lal Sukhadia, former Chief Minister of Rajasthan on 4th July 1966. The institute is running by Rashtriya Shikshan Sansthan Samiti, Hanumangarh. Presently being run under an administrator appointed by the State Govt.

By the sincere efforts of Sh. Kesari Singh Shekhawat, former chairman of Rashtriya Shikshan Sansthan Samiti, Hanumangarh, initially, the diploma pharmacy was started as dept. of pharmacy in NMPG College in the year 1987. Then, as per the norms of AICTE, New Delhi, it was established as an independent pharmacy college in the year 1993.
