Surendera Group of institutions (SGI) has a unique motive of developing curiosity among students to learn by exploring.
Ever since the Late His Highness Ganga Singh, there have not been many visionaries who made a difference to the town or its people Mr. Surendera Kumar Aggarwal, Chairman of the trust, shifted his base from Punjab to Sri Ganganagar in 1988, where the family already had good land holding on which merchandised farming and horticulture was being carried out since 1927, with a mission to establish premier educational institutions for the propagation of medical, dental and technical education and to provide international standard medical, dental and technical facilities to the society. He is a man of far sight and foresight, who is adept at perceiving the perfect remedy for an ailing community and the people at large. It was after much persuasion and persistence of the trustees that he finally agreed to lend his name to the colleges.
He formed and registered the trust in 1999 in the memory of his parents late Smt.Vidyawanti and late Shri Labhu Ram S/o late Rai Bahadur Shrikripa Ram, a senior judge at Lahore High Court. Since then SGI is working under the aegis of late Vidyawanti Labhu Ram foundation for science, research, and social welfare.
SGI approved by AICTE New Delhi has been set up to meet the need for technical education since 2010 in the courses B.Tech.(Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Civil Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering) with an intake of 60 seats each and M.Tech. (Computer Science and Production Engineering) since 2014 with an intake of 18 seats each. Both these courses are affiliated to RTU, Kota, Rajasthan. SGI is also providing technical education to students by running its diploma courses (second shift) in the branches of (Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering) with an intake of 60 seats each, since 2012. Diploma courses are affiliated to BTER, Jodhpur.
Along with technical courses, SGI is running the professional course of MBA since 2010 in the field of Finance, Marketing and Human Resource with an intake of 60 seats affiliated to RTU, Kota, Rajasthan.
