Basaveshwara College of Commerce, Arts & Science was established in 1982 as a realization of the dream of the founders of the Sri Jagajyoti Sahakara Sangha to start an institution of higher learning.

The institution has the vision of imparting quality education at moderate cost to promote inclusive learning. Always adhering to the tenets laid down by Lord Basaveshwara, the college promotes simple living and high thinking. Great thrust is given to the encouragement of students from the socially and economically marginalised sections of society. More than 50% of our students receive freeships and scholarships of one kind or another. The college arranges remedial classes for slow learners by utilising UGC funds.
