Sri Goluguri Bapi Raju, a giver without having training established the Anaparthi Educational Society in 1979. The general public built up Degree college under the aegis of Anaparthi Educational Society in 1980. With the strenuous endeavors of Sri Goluguri Bapi Raju, and Sri Padala Ammmi Reddy, the then MLA of Anaparthi Constituency, one junior college and one Degree College were endorsed by Sri Marri Chenna Reddy, the then Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. The name of the college was changed to Goluguri Bapi Raju Degree College in 1985. By the liberal gifts from this locale individuals, the college was created step by step with the strenuous endeavors of Sri Goluguri Bapi Raju, Sri Goluguri Venkata Reddy, backer, Visakhapatnam and Prof. G. Golla Reddy, Professor Andhra University, Visakhapatnam helped the Institution in gathering the gifts and in getting consent from Andhra University.
