On the fifteenth of September, 1902, Smt. Mahadevi, the spouse of a prominent attorney of Dehradun started showing six little youngsters at her living arrangement. It was a strong and bold advance taken by a lady of vision, who understood that India couldn't have its spot among the countries of the world, without teaching its girls. Mahadeviji's significant other Shri Jyoti Swaroop upheld her wholeheartedly and framed a Kanya Pathshala Trust and Society and moved the College from her home to autonomous premises on Lytton Road. In 1911, Shri Jyoti Swaroopji talented around 100 bighas of land to the College and from that point classes were held in the grounds, that later turned into the MKP Intermediate College Office. The Pathshala was among the first Colleges in Quite a while to give instruction along social lines as indicated by the beliefs of the Arya Samaj and run only by ladies. Aside from educating, Smt. Smt. Sushila Dobhal was the primary Principal of the College. It was her vision and dynamic organization that guided the College through its early stages. During her stewardship, the present inn was worked with the award of Rs.1, 00,000/ - from the UGC. Indeed, even today young ladies from to the extent Nepal, Bihar, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh and Manipur are among the numerous understudies dwelling here. The College held its first Convocation in the year 1961with Smt. Laxmi Menon, Deputy Minister for Human Affairs, as its Chief Guest, an eminent accomplishment for the juvenile College. A different Library Building was developed in the year 1963, with assets given by Seth Udhodas Hingwale. Today it houses roughly 71,500 books and diaries and buys in to 150 periodicals.
