The lofty Dayanand Shiksha Sansthan which has been devoted to the reason for Education in India, began the Dayanand Women's Training College in 1961 in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. It is an establishment committed towards giving educator's Training to young ladies wannabes.
In it's underlying years the school was situated in the reason of 29.E. C. Street, which today is the reason of the Virendra Swaroop Chatrawas for young ladies. In the year 1964 ,the school was moved to 6,Curzon Road, which is currently its perpetual grounds. Shrimati Dhara Rani the spouse of ( Late) Dr. Virendra Swaroop gave support to the school which helped the establishment in it's points of rendering preparing to young ladies so as to enable them to satisfy the developing requests of schools today and to wind up productive instructors.
Smt. S.R. Trivedi, the originator Principal of the school through her exemplary administration helped the school to prosper .She resigned from the post in 1975 and Miss B .Verma took up the charge .Under her direction the school contacted her new statures with the presentation of M.Ed. furthermore, M.A. Training courses from the session 1996-97.The school advanced scholastically as well as tastefully, socially and ethically. Dr. L. Rawat assumed control over the charge in 1998 and made admirable improvement in the school by giving a rich library and headway in the region of the Information Technology and different offices. Dr. D.K. Singh ,a graduated class of the school assumed control over the charge in 2004 and made her commitments to the school. At present, Dr. Arti Dixit is filling in as a Principal of the school since 2007.
