Shrimati Indira Gandhi College was established in 1984 by that incredible educationist Vidys Seva Ratnam K. Santhanam, as the then secretary of National College Council, with the dynamic help of President Y.Venkateshwara Dikshidhar. Begun with humble beginnings with 2 courses and 10 Teachers the College achieved quick development in a brief time and verified open acknowledgment as a head foundation for the Higher instruction of Women.
