The Indian School of Political Economy was established in the year 1970 by the notable market analyst, the late Prof. V.M.Dandekar. The School has been enlisted under the Societies Registration ACT, 1860 and furthermore under the Maharastra Public Trusts Act, 1950. The Council of the School comprises of fifteen Honorary Fellows chose in the Annual Meeting of the Council. The Council is going by the President and the Director is named for the everyday working of the School.
The objects of the School are:
- To attempt, or advance, or help monetarily or in different ways, examine in social, political and financial issues of India.
- To teach understudies, look into laborers, social and political specialists, overseers, representatives including business officials and overall population in, and illuminate them about, the social, political and monetary issues of India.
- To plan and distribute, in appropriate structure, in English and other Indian dialects, writing bearing on social, political and monetary issues of India.
- The School has attempted to distribute clearly composed booklets on subjects of the present social and monetary enthusiasm to the normal peruser. The booklets are restricted to around 10,000 words each and are in either English or Marathi. As of late, the School has distributed a book in Marathi on late advancement in the feild of uman mind. So far five booklets and one book have been distributed by the School.
