In 1916, Karnataka Lingayat Education(K. L. E.) Society was established by the Seven Founder Life Members, who are additionally tended to as "Saptarishis"[Seven Saints]. On thirteenth November 1916, K.L.E. Society began an Anglo Vernacular School in Belgaum. Lingaraj College appeared in June 1933. In 1947, B.V.B. School of Engineering and Technology was begun in Hubli. J.N. Medicinal College at Belgaum and G.H. School at Haveri was begun in the year 1963. From 1984 onwards, K.L.E. Society began Dental, Education, Nursing, Information Technology, Computer Applications, Hotel Management, Business Management, Tourism, Fashion Designing, Agriculture Colleges and Polytechnics crosswise over India. Today under the authority of Mr. Prabhakar Kore a capable and dynamic group pioneer KLE Society runs 210 foundations. The Emblem that the Karnatak Lingayat Education Society has embraced formally is deliberately structured, perfectly cut, important and representative of the belief system that K.L.E. Society represents. It really mirrors the Aims, Objectives and the Aspirations of the Society.
