In the year 1942, a religious head and a visionary Shri Sanganabasaveshwar Maha Shivayogigalu of Banthanal, established a firm framework to BLDEA by method for building up different instructive organizations. He assumed a noteworthy job in building up the Association and set up numerous Primary, Higher Secondary schools and universities for Higher training.
During the 1960s another incredible visionary, Dr. B.M. Patil anticipated the potential and need of scaling up instructive chances of the individuals of this locale. With his vision and diligence, he gave another measurement to the working of the foundations under BLDEA and set up new organizations to confer proficient instruction. The Association built up an Engineering College, Pharmacy College, Nursing College and a Medical College, alongside a 1,000 bed showing clinic, a first of its sort in the nation.
Another period started in the 1990's, the point at which the child of Dr. B.M. Patil, Dr. M. B. Patil, a youthful and dynamic pioneer, assumed control over the reins of BLDEA. His essential goal was giving quality training current ideas of progression, globalization and colossal extension in different new courses. He considered the requirement for setting up a University and strived to build up the BLDE University, which appeared on 29th February, 2008.
The BLDEA is engendering training in Bijapur and Bagalkot regions, which are perceived as socially, monetarily and instructively in reverse zones by then British Government and by present UGC, State Government and Central Government.
