SIES Arts, Science and Commerce college was inaugurated on the twentieth of June 1960 by Shri Y. B. Chavan, the primary Chief Minister of the geographical area to serve the ever-growing academic wants of scholars from North and Central Bombay Suburbs, and was the gift of the South Indians in Bombay to the then newly-born State of geographical area. The Commerce Stream at the Degree level was started in 1980-81. connected to the University of Bombay, the faculty has a formidable strength of over 4,000 students drawn from all sections of this cosmopolitan town.
