The congregation of the stainless Conception (CIC) had its origination at Panchampatti at the top of the nineteenth century. Rev. Fr. Julius Larmey, S.J., Rev.Fr. Augustine Pereira and Rev. Fr. Eugene Nespoulous, S.J. area unit honored because the founders of the congregation. On account of the motivation given by these holy men, four dedicated ladies entered into a hut with one purpose and began their community life on second Feb 1899. The Congregation grew step by step in to a giant tree long and breadth of the Indian sub-continent, and different countries - Zambia, Republic of South Africa, Italian Republic and Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. so as to secure a lot of economical administration, the Congregation was divided in to three Regions particularly Madurai, Paramakudi and Palayamkottai on twenty fifth March 1984 and so to three provinces since 1997. It celebrated its Pt anniversary on seventh and eighth could 1984 and it had been promoted to the ‘Pontifical Status’ by His quality Pope John Paul II on nineteenth January, 1993. 

The mission of the Congregation is to produce quality Education to students and girls hailing from the backward districts of south Tamil Nadu and also the vision is to attempt for authorization of girls through gender-disparity, education, vocational education, non secular and temperament development
