Ali Yavar Jung National Institute of Speech and Hearing Disabilities (Divyangjan) (AYJNISHD(D)) was established on ninth August 1983. it's an autonomous organisation beneath the Department of authorization of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan), Government of Bharat, New Delhi. The Institute is found at Bandra (West), Mumbai – four hundred 050. Regional Centres of the Institute are established at Calcutta (1984), Indian capital (1986), Secundarabad (1986) and Bhubaneshwar (1986- in association with Government of Orissa). These square measure centres aimed toward meeting the native and regional wants in terms of men development and services. Regional Centre at Indian capital has been shifted to Noida in 2015. and Regional centre at Bhubaneswar has been shifted to Janla in 2008. The District incapacity Rehabilitation Centre (DDRCs) beneath Gramin Punarvasan Yojana (GPY) a programme of the Ministry of Social Justice and authorization, Government of Bharat was started within the year 2000. the target of the programme is to supply total rehabilitation to persons with sensory (hearing and vision), physical and mental disabilities. Under this programme, twenty-four DDRCs were assigned to AYJNISHD(D). All the twenty four DDRCs, on completion of roaring institution and running for 3 years.
