The Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer (ACTREC) is that the progressive R&D satellite of the Tata Memorial Centre (TMC), that conjointly includes beneath its umbrella the Tata Memorial Hospital (TMH), the most important cancer hospital in Asia. ACTREC has the mandate to perform as a national centre for treatment, analysis and education in cancer. In August 2002, the Cancer analysis Institute (CRI) shifted in toto from its Parel field in metropolis to function the fundamental analysis arm of ACTREC. The clinical analysis arm of ACTREC comprising of the Clinical analysis Centre (CRC) became practical from March 2005. ACTREC conjointly contains a 100-bed hospital totally equipped with progressive diagnostic and therapeutic facilities. analysis investigations at CRI presently specialise in molecular mechanisms chargeable for the effort of major human cancers relevant to India.
