Arul Anandar college (AAC) is associate degree arts and sciences autonomous faculty related to to Madurai Kamaraj University, placed at Karumathur, Madurai, and administered by the Jesuits. the school name, which means "filled with grace", refers to John American state Britto, the Jesuit saint martyred at Oriyur, Tamil Nadu, India. the school was based in 1970 as American state La Salle faculty by the late Most Rev. Dr. Justin Diraviam, Catholic bishop in Madurai, with a pre-degree course and undergrad courses in political economy and philosophy. In 1972 it had been renamed as Arul Anandar faculty and have become a Jesuit establishment. the school received autonomous standing in 1987, and National Assessment and certification Council (NAAC) five begin Rating in 2001. In 2014 AAC received associate degree "A" grade from the NAAC. In 1975 missionary, founding father of the Missionaries of Charity, visited the field. The Alumni Association was inaugurated in 1987. degree programmes in rural development science and political economy began in 2001. In 2009 Britto business firm was established.
