This college, the first women college of the govt within the District of Sivagangai, established in 1998-99 commenced the primary year categories on twenty seven.08.1998 in Raja Doraisingam Government Arts College cultural centre. Thiru. R. AYYAPPAN, assumed charge because the special officer for this College on twenty three.07.1998.
The Government of Tamil Nadu assigned three.58 area unit or seven.5 Acres Land in Kangirangal Village for providing a permanent building for this College. within the year 1998-99 Rs.50 Lakhs by Honorable Thiru P. Chidambaram, M.P of this body and Union Minister, Rs.25 Lakhs by Hon’ble Thiru. T.Krishnan, M.L.A. of this body, Minister for Highways and within the year 1999-2000 Rs.22 Lakhs by Thiru E.M. Sudarsana Nachiyappan, M.P. of this body has been given from their several body Development Fund, for constructing the building.
With this money help the elegant building of this College was created. Honorable Education Minister Thiru. Anbazhagan, inaugurated the building on twenty three.08.2000 and also the College is functioning during this new building. Late Thiru.T.Krishnan, Honorable Ex. Minister and M.L.A. contributed a further quantity of Rs.10 Lakhs from his body Development Fund (1999-2000) for upgrading the pc Science Department of the College. Presently students ar being admitted in four colleges BBA, B.Com. B.Sc. technology and B.Sc Home Science as per Government Order 371. M.Com. Post Graduate Course was commenced in College year 2005-2006. For all the Colleges the teaching is provided in English. The association of previous woman students is actively functioning, during this College.
