CIT established in 1999, was sponsored by the Kodava Education Society with the first aim of providing quality technical education to the aspiring students from Kodagu district and different components of the country. A Governing Council headed by Sri. C.P. Belliappa, Associate in Nursing engineer and low planter, manages CIT. The Governing Council includes of execs with in-depth expertise within the management of instructional establishments. It ends up in the implementation of comprehensive strategic plans that aims to leverage the institute’s existing strengths and ensures its fast progress into a Deemed University. The Governing Council meets sporadically to border policies and programs for the expansion of CIT. Dr.Kavitha P C, the Principal, oversees the administration of the school. CIT is approved by All Asian nation Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, related to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi and recognized by the govt. of Mysore.
