At the point when Andhra State was framed in October 1953, the Government of Andhra chose to begin a medicinal school in the Rayalaseema locale of the state. In Government Order Ms. No. 1835, Health, dated 29 November 1955, the legislature of Andhra passed requests to set up a therapeutic school, the third one in the state at Kurnool.
