Government College is the main Government College, which offers this course. In 1997 the school was moved to the present "H" molded structure. In the 1998 - 2000 periods, Pre Degree clusters were de-connected from the school and two new graduate courses were begun (BSc Mathematics and B Com). In 1999 this school was subsidiary to the UGC and the school got 12 (B) and 2(f) status. In 2004 BA in Communicative English, the unrivaled course of its sort in the Government part was begun.
