St. John of God College of Special Education was built up in 2013 as another endeavor of St. John of God Center at Velloor, which is controlled by the Hospitaller Order of St. John of God. The College trains hopeful possibility to serve and work with youngsters having scholarly lack and different inabilities. The school offers two RCI endorsed preparing Programs in Special Education. 1. B.Ed Special Education (Mental Retardation) : multi year full time standard course perceived by the RCI (Delhi) and subsidiary to the Mahatma Gandhi University (Kottayam). 2. D.Ed Special Education (Mental Retardation): multi year full time normal course perceived by the RCI (Delhi), Course Conducted by National Institute for Mentally Handicapped (NIMH) Secunderabad. 3.
