Deva Matha College, Kuravilangad, was established on third April 1964 under the motivation of the Catholic Diocese of Palai by Major Archiepiscopal Marth Mariam Archdecon Pilgrim Church, Kuravilangad. The ward, Major Archiepiscopal Marth Mariam Archdecon Pilgrim Church, Kuravilangad, has scratched her name in the scholarly world of Kerala by setting up two High Schools and two L. P. Schools in the last 50% of the eighteenth century and a Higher Secondary School in 1998. The previous President of India, Dr. K.R. Narayanan and Chevalier Dr. P. J. Thomas, an eminent Economist in India did their tutoring in these foundations. Deva Matha College, Kuravilangad is associated to Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, it is perceived under segment 2(f) and 12 B of the UGC Act 1956.
