Shantaben Manubhai Patel School of Studies and Research in Architecture and Interior Design is a fantasy adventure of Dr C L Patel, Chairman of CVM which means to give inventive learning condition to different parts of Design Education. The Institution is situated in the satellite township dedicated as New Vallabh Vidyanagar. It is a tranquil arrangement on a lavish green belt of the area. The vow of CVM to bring renaissance through the methods for training has brought a falling progression of gigantic gift from India and abroad. The grounds fuses two Engineering Colleges, I T I College, Pharmacy College, Ayurvedic College and Hospital, Bio Technology, Hospitality and Management College in addition to a best in class Design School ( S M An I D ). 

SMAID made a modest start in June 2012 with its 5 years Bachelor in Architecture program with an admission of 40 seats and 4 years Bachelor in Interior Design Program with a yearly admission of 60 seats associated to Sardar Patel University. The Institution has a condition of craftsmanship Infrastructure with a favorable domain of Design instruction - completely furnished with current ergonomically structured furniture in Studio, Audio Visual Rooms, Material Museum, Computer Labs., Resource Center, Work Shops, Multi Purpose Room, Arena Theater, Canteen and a perfectly planned Landscape with rich green grounds - a setting only well-suited for Design Education.
