Amrita School of Education, earlier known as Amrita Shikshana Mahavidyalaya was begun in the year 2004, properly endorsed by NCTE and was associated to the Mysore University. Afterward, it was renamed as Amrita School of Education in the period of August 2006. It was then brought under the ambit of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham on tenth November 2006.
