At the beginning of Independence in November 1947, an eminent Agricultural Scientist, working in a high position under the then Bihar Govt., Professor Pabitra Kumar Sen (1906-1997) set up Seva Bharati by taking 100 sections of land of undulated fruitless land arranged in Kapgari and Bagda Mouza from the then Zamindar Jagadish Chandra Deo Dhabaldeb. Training was obscure in the zone. The zone was profoundly dry spell inclined. The land was undulated, the dirt lateritic, and precipitation was regularly low; under 1% of the land was watered. Market, street and other infrastructural offices were missing. Accordingly, the zone exhibited a melancholy picture of expanding joblessness, appalling destitution and good corruption The Raja of Chilkigarh, the neighborhood Zamindar was adequate to make 40 sections of land of waste land lying in the visitor of Kapgari and two contiguous towns of Bagda and Panrusuli, accessible on changeless rent to Prof. Sen to leave upon his loved work. He obtained another 10 sections of land from locals to make the region adjoining and conservative. Seva Bharati got into a humble beginning in November 1947 with the assistance of some of Prof. Sen's relatives and with collaboration of the neighborhood individuals having a place with Kapgari and close by towns.
