Dr. Zakir Hussain Teachers’ Training college, Laheriasari, Darbhanga was established within the name of Dr. Zakir Hussain, a famous specialist, a good humanist, a distinguished exponent of composite cultures and a true exponent. His educational philosophy has perpetually been a moving spar in moulding this establishment. The college is placed at Laheriasarai, at a distance of one hundred twenty kilometers off from Patna by Road, three kilometer from L. N. Mithila University, Kameshwaranagar, Darbhanga headquarter, affiliating University of this faculty and a pair of a kilometer from Darbhanga Junction and quite adjacent to Darbhanga Medical school & Hospital. The College runs below the Board of Trustees, Shafi Muslim high school, Laheriasrai, (estd 1933), a body punctually registered with the govt. . of Bihar below Societies Registration Act. 1860. The Board at its meeting continued 02.06.1982 resolved to sponsor a lecturers’ college to cater the requirement of Teachers coaching Programme from the session 1982-83. the faculty was receptively trained the untrained graduates of the region for seeking employment and to produce postgraduate degree in education. The main aim for gap to the current school was to provide human resource that might safely entrusted with the responsibility of teaching the scholars in Muslim Minority establishment in an environment tributary to the healthy growth of character of the scholars within the lightweight of the Cultural, non secular and Linguistic heritage of the Community so they will be able to discharge their National Obligation. The College was established as a Minority establishment below Art. 30(1) of the Constitution of Bharat with reference to its management.
