Chebrolu Hanumaiah Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (CHIPS) was set up in the year 2005 on the name of its general public, "Nagarjuna Education Society Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences" (NESIPS), as the seventh foundation under the magnanimous association of Nagarjuna Education Society (NES). Subsequent to getting endorsement from AICTE to begin B.Pharmacy course for an admission of 60 seats, NESIPS ceremoniously begun its first group class take a shot at 27th November, 2005 at the premises of its parent (sister) association, J.K.C.
