In consonance with the overall pointers of United Nations agency (1962) concerning the institution of specialized institutes, National Institute of manufacturing plant and Forge Technology (NIFFT) was created in 1966 beneath the UNDP program to cater to the necessity of an outsized variety of technicians. the actual stress was on manufacturing plant and Forge technology to satisfy the demand of trained workforce within the primary metal producing sectors like automobile, serious engineering, machine, and part producing, etc. 2 fastidiously designed advanced certificate courses, particularly manufacturing plant and Forge technology were offered. In view to bucket along the information boundary, four M technical school programs were introduced within the core areas of manufacturing plant and Forge technology. later on, 2 B technical school programs, one in scientific discipline and Materials Engineering and different in producing Engineering, were introduced to strengthen the core framework of manufacturing plant.
