University Institute of Engineering & Technology (UIET) was accepted by Kurukshetra University in 2004 with impartial to develop as a "Centre of Excellence" and provide quality technical study and to undertake research in Engineering & Technology. Presently, the institute is providing 4 B. Tech (Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Biotechnology and Mechanical Engineering) and eight M. Tech. course in the technically main disciplines Computer Science Engineering (with the Specialization of Computer Engg. and Software Engg.), Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engg. (with the specialization of Industrial & Production Engg., and Thermal Engg.), Biotechnology, Material Science & Technology and Electrical Engg. The institute is providing Ph.D. programs in many engineering disciplines. University campus provides excellent environment for the overall personality development of the candidates.

The institute is also portion as a nodal agency for the matters of educational importance like, development of scheme of examination, syllabus, educational plan and maintenance of standards in associated Engineering colleges and is headed by Director, Prof. C.C.
