The Apeejay Saraswati P.G. College for Girls was accepted in 1974 and was brought under the aegis of the Apeejay Education Society in Dec. 1990. The name ‘Apeejay’ signifies and represents the ideal combination of latest and traditional values, spreading the light of knowledge and preparing the youth for the future, thus contributing towards the task of nation-building. The college is extend over 5.25 acres of land in lush green environment. Continual, persuasive and sustained attempt have yielded results and the candidate strength has risen from 200 to 1550 in the past decade. The college not only caters effectively to the needs of the latest times in the form of various professional courses but also provides some traditional courses that encourage the inculcation of values between the youth.. Being the only girls' college in the city and its surrounding area, it serves the academic need of girls living in the radius of about 15 kms.

Apeejay Saraswati P.G. College for Girls was accepted by the Society for providing education to women in remote and backward field of the state, with the objective of empowering the rural women of the field to get respectable status in society and become self-confident and self-reliant. The college communicate human values as it believes in "Man-Making" & "Nation -Building" study.
