Way back in 1938, the great Jainacharya Shrimad Vijay Vallabh Surishwarji Maharaj envisioned a dream to organize educational institutions to propagate a harmonious, secular and awakened society where the mind would be without fear and the head was held high. And this saw the evolution of Shri Atamanand Jain College that initially was started as an halfway college at a time when there was no college within the periphery of 200 Kms.

If knowledge comes and wisdom lingers, education loses its goal. To enhance the overall personality of our candidates, extra- curricular activities like elocution, poetry, drama, music, debates, playing musical instruments are our regular activities, which go on bringing laurel to the college at the University, State and National level.

LIBRARY:

The College library has a best and well maintained library with a collection of 70,000 volumes of qualitative material on Commerce, Finance, Personnel Management, Economics, Marketing, Human Resources Development and Computer Science of course through with books on many other disciplines. It subscribes to about 12 dailies and quality number of periodicals and research Journals. A good number of important news papers and Journals such as Economics Times, Political and Economic Weekly, Data Quest, Computer Express, CHIP Computing, India Today, Computers Today, Business India, PC Quest, Computer Technology etc. are also being subscribed.

Reading habits among candidates are inculcated by providing them guidance and adequate facilities and they are hearten to make full use of library freely. However, the college proposes to raise a excellent library building well provide with the latest audio visual aids.
