The Institution was formed on May 18, 1967 with its Headquarters at Pune and was subsequently registered as a Public Trust Office at Pune on 28.7.1972.
The Institution has been playing a vital role in disseminating knowledge of permanent way, bridges and other structures amongst various Railwaymen
