Sri Guru Teg Bahadur College of Education, Khankot was set up alongside the existing Sri Guru Teg Bahadur School with a vision to provide to the society committed teachers with missionary zeal to cater to all sections of our society especially the rural populace. The founder of this College, late Dr. Diljit Singh Pannun, himself a journalist and teacher turned social and development crusader and later a non career diplomat, was a firm believer of providing value based education in a conducive atmosphere, which empowers individuals with knowledge and developing skills aside from being humane and committed towards building a better society. His endeavour was whole heartedly supported by the President, late Dr. Ranbir Singh ji, a renowned Ophthalmologist of the region and a man of immense faith and integrity.
