Sant Nischal Singh ji was born on 18th April 1882 at Mitha Tiwana (Pakistan). With the blessings of his master Mahant Jawahar Singh Ji (of Mitha Tiwana, Pakistan ) He had his education as a Sanskrit Scholar at Vidya peeth Haridwar and Varanasi. He became well versed in the Sanskrit Granthas and mastered the Sikh Scriptures. He became a learned Sikh Saint Scholar who with a deep knowledge of other religions as well. Because of this he came to be known as Pandit Sant Nischal Singh Ji. Sant Nischal Singh Ji was a rare and probably the first example in Sikh history having virtues of Pandit and Sant together in one personality.

He had saintly virtues and inclination from an early age. The quality of his Saintly life & service to humanity led him to become the head of 'SEWA PANTH' founded by Bhai Kanhaiya Ji which is always at the service of the mankind. He preached love for education especially among women and down trodden sections of society spreading the message of spirituality Sewa and Simran.
