With this objective Kalpana Chawla Institute of Engineering and Technology, Chickenwas , Hisar was started during the session 2008-09 with five branches for Diploma Course in Civil Engg. , Computer Engg., Electrical Engg., Electronics and Communication Engineering and Mechanical Engineering with an intake capacity of 60 students in each branch. The academic work at this Institute includes interactive lectures in various subjects to explain the theoretical knowledge of the topic i.e. basic & applied principles, supplemented with proper skill development part in the workshops and laboratories. The students learn the different aspects of operations, processes and technologies designed to solve the challenging problems under varied conditions. The Institute has been strengthened with well equipped labs, workshops, library, computer centers & 24 hour power backup system etc. It has sufficiently large and planned building with lush green lawns to give it an aesthetic look. The Institute has sincere and hardworking faculty to train the students in different engineering branches.
