Varalakshmi Trust established in the year 2003, headed by Mr. Vijay Kumar T, Founder Trustee with sole aim of offering quality Nursing Education thus to prepare competent Nurses to the society.
Varalakshmi College of Nursing is located in T. Dasarahalli, Bangalore, with adequate infrastructure that is required for Nursing Education. The college is recognized by Government of Karnataka, Indian Nursing Council New Delhi, State Nursing Council and affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore.
Varalakshmi College of Nursing started Diploma Programme in the year 2003 to prepare the Nurses who will function as member of health team beginning with competencies for first level position in both hospital & community.
In the next academic year itself i.e 2004, Under Graduate programme started with the aim of providing promotive, preventive, curative and rehabilitative services to the society. In the Golden feather of Varalakshmi College of Nursing crown in the year 2009, the Government of Karnataka and Indian Nursing Council recognized the institution for the Post Graduate programme with 5 specialties besides Post basic Nursing programme which started in the year 2009. Hence, the college got complete level of Nursing Education programmes.
