The Bhagwan Shikshan Prasarak Mandal was established in 1964 by the followers and disciples of the great Saint of the Warkari sect Late His Holiness Shri Bhagwan Maharaj. It is a registered Charitable Trust under the Bombay Public Trust Act, 1958 with Registration No. F-46.
Activities
The motive of this Trust is to propagate and spread education in order to educate the downtrodden, rural masses of Marathwada in the State of Maharashtra. Education enables an individual to be independent, self sufficient financially besides raising the productivity of the Society.
Amongst the disciples and followers of His Holiness Late Shri Bhagwan Maharaj was Dr Y.S. KHEDKAR. A highly educated, qualified and a pioneer in the field of E.N.T. Surgery, Dr.Y.S. Khedkar supported by his wife, Mrs. Vidyut Khedkar and like minded contemporaries took the initiative and started this venture by opening a small Hostel in 1964 for students, who came from the hinter land of the region. Since then, it has grown to its present size and shape due to the incessant efforts made by the founder fathers, their vision and constant encouragement for the cause.
Today, this Trust is carrying on the same ideology and is manned by persons who are trustees from various strata of the Society and pursuing different professions ranging from Farming to Medical practice Doctors, Engineering and Entrepreneurs.
The Bhagwan Shikshan Prasarak Mandal has various institute to its credit since its inceptions in 1964 till date.
