The Jeevan Jyot Charitable Trust (JJCT) is registered as NGO in 1991 in Parbhani, Maharashtra State. The JJCT is a non-profit, service-oriented organization, engaged in Education, Training, Research and Development in agriculture and related fields, with its operation spreading in the district of Parbhani, Maharashtra. In order to achieve these objectives, Late Prof. Ashokraoji Deshmukh (Ex. M.P.) founder, Jeevan Jyot Charitable Trust, Parbhani, being a Post Graduate in Agriculture, has started various institutes namely Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Rajiv Gandhi College of Agriculture, Rajiv Gandhi College of Food Technology and Certificate/Diploma courses of YCMOU, Nashik.

Rajiv Gandhi College of Food Technology is a unit of JJCT, and is affiliated to MAU Parbhani and started functioning from Sept- 2004 under the guidance of MCAER, Pune to offer B.Tech. (Food Technolgoy) degree. It has its own college building, well equipped laboratories, separate hostels for boys and girls, highly qualified and sufficient staff and all other infrastructural facilities. The students from this college have proved their distinction by securing highest rank in the entire university during the last four academic years and also secured jobs in multinationals companies, in India and abroad.
