Prasannamani College of Physical Education and Yoga was established in 1982 at Cuttack. The college is named after the favoured god Lord Jagannath of Tigiria.

The college is permanently recognised by the Govt. of Orissa for C.P Ed program and NCTE (NAtional Council for Teachers Education, New Delhi). The 3 year degree B.P.E program (Bachelor of Physical Education) is inducted in the college is being approved by the State Government of Orissa and is affiliated to Utkal University, Vani Vihar, Bhubaneswar.
