Rameshwar Shikshan Prasarak Mandal, Sonpeth was formed in 1997 to provide education facility to rural youth.  Shri Vyankatraoji Kadam, former MLA gladly accepted the lead role in this shikshan mandal. The mandal strongly believes that only education can bring the sustainable all round development in the rural area and can change the face of India. The shikshan mandal started its first senior college on 10th Aug 2000 and named it after Shri Panditguru Pardikar Maharaj the local spiritual seer, who saw no distinction among his bhaktas and preached them equally. The college was started in Sirsala town which is populated by the minority and backward communing and surrounded by the farming villages mostly in hilly and dry area. The town Sirsala is the biggest village in the Parli tahesil which falls in one of the educationally backward districts, Beed.The town is the central place for near about 60 villages distributed in three tahesils for market and transport. It is a zilla parishad circle (local self government block). The composition of the population is Muslim 30% Buddhists 30% nomadic tribes 20% and other 10%. Majority of them in the town are engaged in brick making industry and other paltry trades whereas the surrounding villages are seasonal farmer and seasonal sugar cane cutters. Illiteracy and poverty have kept these people and their generations away from higher education as very few of them could send their children either to Parli((24 kms) or to Majalgaon (40kms). To cater these deprived society, the Shikshan Mandal started in shri Panditguru Pardikar Mahavidyalaya with the faculty of Arts with a good number of subjects a fine combination of traditional and new subjects like English, Marathi, Hindi, History, Sociology, Political Science, Economics, Public Administration, and Home Science, Dramatics, Geography, Military Science. The UGC, at the recommendation of affiliating university-Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad, sanctioned 2(f) and 12(B) status on 3 May 2012.YCMOU-Study Centre In 2011-12, the college started distance learning a study centre of Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University, Nashik for those who were deprived of higher education and want to continue it. The center runs the prepatory course and degree programme in faculty of Arts.
