Mathrusri Bheemabai Ambedkar Institute of Nursing , has been established in the year 1989-90 by Ananda Social and Education Trust. Now the name of the institution has been changed to DR. B. R. Ambedkar Institute Of Nursing. This separate building of the nursing school, and a college has a hostel facilities and attached to Dr.Ambedkar Medical College and Hospital for clinical and teaching purpose. The hospital which has 750 beds with specialty clinics, ICU, Blood Bank and RNTCP ,Provides training and learning facilities to nursing students.
We recognize that nursing is based on values of caring, human health and aims to help individuals attain independence of self care .The principle of the college is the noble idea of service orientation with a spirit of renunciation ,sacrificing one’s own self interest for a great causes towards sufferings.
