Kavayitri Bahinabai Chaudhari North Maharashtra University PhD Admission 2024-25

The Kavayitri Bahinabai Chaudhari North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon (Formerly known as North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon) built upon fifteenth August 1990. Duration of the Programmes

  • The duration of the program is counted from the date of registration.
  • Minimum duration in technology, engineering, and management and allied programmed 36/ 48 months.
  • Minimum duration in Science & Humanities for Full-time/ Part-time shall be four/five years
  • The maximum duration shall be an additional three years.


Qualification: A contender for admission to the level of Ph.D. in any of the Faculties probably got the Master's Degree within any event 55% marks (CGPA 5.5 - 6 out of a size of 10) of any perceived University (half for SC/ST/Physically and outwardly debilitated candidates). Rules For Admission

  • A candidate who wants to take admission to Ph.D. is required to write the entrance examination.
  • A candidate who has cleared the entrance examination shall be called for the personal interview. In the interview, candidates are required to discuss their research interest/ area before a duly constituted Departmental Research Committee through a PowerPoint presentation.
  • After verification of original certificates and payment of the prescribed fee structure for Ph.D. selected candidates shall be provisionally admitted for the Ph.D. program.
  • The syllabus for entrance examination is available in the website.
  • The entrance examination consists of 50% subject-specific questions and 50% of the research methodology.
  • Candidates will be exempted from writing the entrance examinations who have cleared Teacher-Fellowships/MPhil/NET/SLET/UGC/CSIR(JRF)/other National level eligibility test.
  • To qualify for the personal interview candidate should secure 50% marks in the entrance examination.


Structure of the Entrance Test

Paper – I: General Aptitude 

  • This paper will have 100 marks for 50 questions.
  • Questions will be multiple-choice, covering logical reasoning, numerical ability, reasoning, and language aptitude.
  • There will be no negative marking system.
  • Each correct answer carries 2 marks.
  • The candidate has to secure 50 % marks to pass the marks.
  • A candidate who passes in Paper-I will be allowed for Paper-II of the Entrance Examination.
  • For the next two consecutive attempts the score of Paper – I will be valid.

Paper-II: Subject Specific Test

  • Paper-II will be also of 100 marks for 50 questions with multiple choice.


Fee structure for admission/Entrance Test to Ph.D. Course

  • For General Candidates: Rs. 1200/-
  • For foreign students: Rs. 6000/-
  • For SC/ST students: Rs.1000/-
  • The fee once paid will not be refunded.

Facilities at University
