Duration of the Programmes

• The duration of the program is counted from the date of registration.
• Minimum duration in technology, engineering, and management and allied programmed 36/ 48 months.

Qualification for Admission

• Ph.D. Degree in Engineering/ Technology: A of 6.0 on a 10 point scale in M.Tech. / M.E. / M.S. (Research) in the relevant branch of Engineering or Technology. Candidate belongs to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-Abled will get a relaxation of 5% of marks, from 55% to 50%.
• Ph.D. Degree in Management Sciences: Candidate should have 55% marks or CGPA of 6.0 on a 10 point scale in Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management / MBA / M.Phil or Administration in Management Sciences. Candidate belongs to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-Abled will get a relaxation of 5% of marks, from 55% to 50%.
• Ph.D. Degree in Science and Humanities: Candidate should have 55% marks or CGPA of 6.0 on a 10 point scale in M.S. (By Research) / M.Sc. / M.A. / M.Phil in the relevant branch of Science and Humanities / M.C.A. Candidate belongs to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-Abled will get a relaxation of 5% of marks, from 55% to 50%.
• Ph.D. Degree in Law: Candidate should have 55% marks or CGPA of 6.0 on a 10 point scale in M.L in the relevant branch of Law. Candidate belongs to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-Abled will get a relaxation of 5% of marks, from 55% to 50%.

Admission Procedure

• Candidate who wants to take admission to Ph.D. is required to write the entrance examination.
• The syllabus for entrance examination is available in the website.
• The entrance examination consists of 50% subject-specific questions and 50% of the research methodology.
• Candidates will be exempted from writing the entrance examinations who have cleared Teacher-Fellowships/MPhil/NET/SLET/UGC/CSIR(JRF)/other National level eligibility test.
• To qualify for the personal interview candidate should secure 50% marks in the entrance examination.
• Candidate who has cleared the entrance examination shall be called for the personal interview. In the interview, candidates are required to discuss their research interest/ area before a duly constituted Departmental Research Committee through a PowerPoint presentation.
• After verification of original certificates and payment of prescribed fee structure for Ph.D. selected candidates shall be provisionally admitted for the Ph.D. program.

Methods of Ph.D. Program 

• Full-Time Ph.D. Program: Applicants under full-time mode are relied upon to accomplish research work in the Campus and ought to be accessible during the working hours for curricular, co-curricular and related exercises.
