Eligibility
- The candidate shall have a Master's degree with at least 55% marks in aggregate.
- From 55% to 50% relaxation of 5% of marks may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST and OBC.
Entrance Exam
- Qualifying marks for the entrance exams are 50%.
- The time allotted is 2 hours.
- An interview/viva-voce (30 Marks) will be organized for the candidates who will pass the entrance exam.

About University
Vardhaman Mahaveer Open University (VMOU or recently known as Kota Open University, renamed through a Gazette notice by the Government of Rajasthan on 21st September 2002) appeared in 1987 as a spearheading foundation for open learning in Rajasthan. Establishing an open college in the State of Rajasthan has its inception in the perceptions of the UGC Committee under the Chairmanship of Late Prof. G. Rama Reddy which saw that "the separation framework in Rajasthan is entrenched and has the capability of developing into an undeniable Open University." The foundation of VMOU (Vardhaman Mahaveer Open University) occurred with the amalgamation of two organizations of correspondences courses viz.
